Christian Novel Review

Having always been an avid reader, since becoming a Christian I have found a wealth of reading material in Christian bookshops and in various second hand bookshops. I have found that in Christian novels one often finds truths that help in one’s Christian walk. I enjoy reading about how the various characters deal with life, and I also find I am the richer for reading a really good Christian novel. Certain authors, through their books, give you a real insight into their joys and struggles, which I find very interesting. WAR-TORN LOVE by ANGELA K COUCH

WAR-TORN LOVE by ANGELA K COUCH is a well written post war romance with a great deal of depth and a strong Christian message of forgiveness and repentance, as we see Evelyn Watson’s disappointment when her fiance, Gabe Bailey, comes home from war with a secret. The town’s gossip mongers are quick to judge Pastor Bailey’s prodigal son. The scripture verse in the front of the book is from 1 Samuel 16:7 and reminds us that “…the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” Man may be quick to condemn but with the Lord there is always hope…..

The story is heart-stirring as we follow their emotions, especially when an innocent baby boy is brought into the mix……
I cannot recommend this inspirational read strongly enough.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Barbour Publishing. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
