Christian Novel Review

Having always been an avid reader, since becoming a Christian I have found a wealth of reading material in Christian bookshops and in various second hand bookshops. I have found that in Christian novels one often finds truths that help in one’s Christian walk. I enjoy reading about how the various characters deal with life, and I also find I am the richer for reading a really good Christian novel. Certain authors, through their books, give you a real insight into their joys and struggles, which I find very interesting. The books which I am going to review are those which I have really enjoyed, and have read at least twice – some books, for example the “Mark of the Lion “ series by Francine Rivers, I have read at least five times each. SKYE FALL by PAIGE EDWARDS

Publcatio date 24/10/23
SKYE FALL by PAIGE EDWARDS is a beautifully written romantic novel based on  a strong Christian message of redemption. Dealing with abuse, police corruption, politics and terrorism, as contrasted with the sacrificial love of family and those in need, the story is most inspirational. I was hooked from the befginning and could not put this lovely and exciting book down! The author has not only painted beautiul scenes, mainly of the Scottish countryside, but she has taken us through her charaters’ very real fears and struggles ….
I like to see the British nobility portrayed as normal people, the love Ben has for his father and siblings, and the love Isla has for her family by keeping away so that they are not attacked by Shay and his cohorts. Ben’s caring and unselfish character is a portrait of a real man who knows who he is in Christ…..
I was really moved by this book and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Covenant Communications. The opinios in this review are completely my own.
