Christian Novel Review

Having always been an avid reader, since becoming a Christian I have found a wealth of reading material in Christian bookshops and in various second hand bookshops. I have found that in Christian novels one often finds truths that help in one’s Christian walk. I enjoy reading about how the various characters deal with life, and I also find I am the richer for reading a really good Christian novel. Certain authors, through their books, give you a real insight into their joys and struggles, which I find very interesting. The books which I am going to review are those which I have really enjoyed, and have read at least twice – some books, for example the “Mark of the Lion “ series by Francine Rivers, I have read at least five times each. AIMING FOR LOVE by MARY CONNEALY

Publication date 1/10/19.
AIMING FOR LOVE by MARY CONNEALY tells the lovely story of the three beautiful and wild Nordegren sisters, who have lived their whole lives hidden away in the mountains, and the Warden family, gentle giants who have come up Hope Mountain to find grazing for their cattle.
With no experience of the outside world or anyone other than their deceased parents and grandparents, the sisters' reactions range from Jo's excitement and curiosity to Ursula's fear and outright hostility.
I really love the characters - they are beautifully portrayed, with the sisters' rather unusual view of parts of the Bible, the scriptures which they quote word for word, and their understanding of helping their neighbours, all the while being afraid of being infected by them, and the Wardens' with their close family ties and down to earth ways.
I highly recommend Aiming For Love as an enchanting read, humorous in parts and with a really good Christian message.
