Christian Novel Review

Having always been an avid reader, since becoming a Christian I have found a wealth of reading material in Christian bookshops and in various second hand bookshops. I have found that in Christian novels one often finds truths that help in one’s Christian walk. I enjoy reading about how the various characters deal with life, and I also find I am the richer for reading a really good Christian novel. Certain authors, through their books, give you a real insight into their joys and struggles, which I find very interesting. The books which I am going to review are those which I have really enjoyed, and have read at least twice – some books, for example the “Mark of the Lion “ series by Francine Rivers, I have read at least five times each. DANCE OF GRACE by STACY MONSON

DANCE OF GRACE by STACY MONSON is a beautifully written, inspirational, romance novel, with very real characters who are trying to make sense of what life has thrown at them, whether this is due to their own bad choices or not.
Vanessa Jordan not only lost her mother to sickness but also her younger sister and brother in a car accident where she also lost part of her leg. She has already given up on God and is about to give up completely when she is befriended by Kurt Wagner, an ex con, who is turning his life around after an encounter with Jesus in prison.
It is a sensitively told story, with quite a few highs and lows, as these two, with the help of Faith Church, turn a house into a sanctuary for lost and hurting teens.
The book really makes one see and remember God's goodness and provision and His amazing love and constant closeness and protection. I enjoyed this novel for the heart warming, and sometimes heart wrenching, story, and the Christian message which runs throughout. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
