Christian Novel Review

Having always been an avid reader, since becoming a Christian I have found a wealth of reading material in Christian bookshops and in various second hand bookshops. I have found that in Christian novels one often finds truths that help in one’s Christian walk. I enjoy reading about how the various characters deal with life, and I also find I am the richer for reading a really good Christian novel. Certain authors, through their books, give you a real insight into their joys and struggles, which I find very interesting. The books which I am going to review are those which I have really enjoyed, and have read at least twice – some books, for example the “Mark of the Lion “ series by Francine Rivers, I have read at least five times each. THE RESURRECTION FILE BY CRAIG PARSHALL

The Resurrection File by Craig Parshall is the first book in his Chambers of Justice Series.  It is well worth reading if you enjoy suspense novels.  It is very exciting and hard to put down. There is also a very good message in the book and the characters are well thought out and very real.  On the one hand you see corruption, even at the highest levels, and on the other hand you see Will Chambers and his client, Angus Mac Cameron, fighting for truth and justice.
Will Chambers is a trial lawyer who has seen better days.  After his estranged wife is murdered, he resorts to alcohol and loses interest in his work and life in general.  This leads to him being fired from a big law firm and being left on his own to pick up the pieces.
Against his better judgment, he takes on a case for Angus Mac Cameron, a fundamental Christian, and his Digging for Truth magazine, and finds himself literally in a war against satanic forces who are trying to deny the resurrection of Christ.  Through his exposure to the truth of the Bible, the influence of Angus Mac Cameron and his lovely daughter, and the evidence he digs up for the case itself, his own life is literally resurrected.  When he comes to know the risen Christ for himself, his life takes on new meaning.
